Jamie Gatewood is an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner located in Uptown Phoenix, Arizona. Her expertise is in facial harmony because she believes each area of the face is equally important (hence the yin yang logo). She performs injectable treatments to enhance natural beauty, improve facial balance, and help people of all backgrounds age gracefully. Her less-is-more approach drives her ethical recommendations. Who is Jamie?
Her Story
A California native, Jamie obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and then her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount St. Mary’s University. She began her career in the hospital setting on medical-surgical units. Jamie graduated from Emory University’s Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Program, sparking her interest in skin.
Upon discovering her passion for the cosmetic field, Jamie became a nurse injector of neuromodulators and dermal fillers. She has worked in dermatology, medical spa, and plastic surgery settings throughout The Valley. After working for other companies as an injector for four years, she opened Rise Aesthetics in 2021, completed her master's degree in 2022, & became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2023.
To provide her patients with the safest and most advanced care, Jamie frequently seeks and invests her own money into continuing education. She attends medical aesthetic conferences, seminars, and private training all over the country as often as possible.
Outside of work, Jamie enjoys reading non-fiction books, fitness, international travel with her husband, hanging out with their rescue dog, squeezing in girl time with her friends, and trying new food.

I booked an appointment with Jamie to discuss Botox for my frown lines, I was nervous as this is such a big and new treatment, for me, and Jamie made me feel so incredibly comfortable, she knew exactly what I wanted/needed, went above and beyond educating me on my options available, and Jamie throughly went through everything involved in the process, even when I didn’t know the right questions to ask.

Jamie is an extremely talented and professional injector. As a fellow nurse, I was impressed by her bedside manner and eye for detail. On my first visit I received Dysport injection and dissolved my lip filler. Two weeks later I went in for lip filler. I am so impressed with the natural result she was able to achieve. I highly recommend Jamie. Also, her studio is beautiful.
